Portable vacuum cleaners are a source of allergy

Sealed house causes development of allergy for family members, especially, if the portable vacuum cleaner is regularly used for cleaning.

Air indoor is dirtier than outdoors air

Modern housed are built to ensure heat saving. It causes an effect of "sealed house": concentration of harmful substances indoors is 10 times (sometimes 40 times) higher than outdoors (EPA, Environmental protection agency, USA).

Among harmful substances special attention should be paid to dust – it is not only "unaesthetic" and worsens interior look, but is also dangerous for your health. Coarse dust is not so dangerous as fine-dispersed invisible dust. It consists of remains of dust mites and their waste products (albuminous compounds), viruses, bacteria, fungi, must (and this list in incomplete). “House dust contains bits and bobs. Various people has allergy for various substances (for example, dried pieces of cockroaches are rather dangerous), but the main reason is the smallest mites in dust". (Thomas Platts-Mills, Doctor, Virginia University Allergy and Immunology medical center).

Dust is a cause of allergy attacks

During breathing in coarse dust is retained on the nasal mucosa, fine-dispersed dust penetrates directly in lungs. Thus, it is immediately absorbed in blood passing through all the barriers. The organism reacts to foreign substance, "switch protection on, and allergic reaction which is always accompanied by rhinitis, asphyxiation and rash is launched. In dusty premises it is especially harmful for people suffering from asthma, a serous allergic disease that is very dangerous for human health. For such people clean air is actually a matter of life and death.

Allergy weakens immunity

The human immune system can be compared with a vessel. The larger the vessel the better the immune. Excessive attack of noxious agents (chemicals, viruses, allergens) leads to overfilling of the vessel and its damage. Allergens "eat" a considerable part of immunity depriving the human being of capacity for work and sense of well-being.

"With the lapse of time repeated allergic episodes can cause an increased load on immune system. When spending recourses on struggling allergic episodes it is gradually exhausted and may fail to protect the organism when a real hazard occurs". (Allan Bock, Professor, Board certified in Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, University of Colorado Health Sciences Center).

Traditional vacuum cleaners are a source of allergy

After cleaning with a traditional vacuum cleaner (including one with water cleaning – water filter) concentration of dust in the air is increased several times. Firstly, it occurs, when fine-dispersed dust after having passed through the clean-up system of traditional vacuum cleaners is discharged and contaminates air. Figuratively, "bacteria" fly through pores of the paper filter as flies fly through a fence" (Kleine sprengung, Professor Helmut Krauch, Gesamthochschule Kassel, 1980).

Secondly, the exhaust system of traditional vacuum cleaners is designed so that exhaust stream raises dust from the floor in the air. Fine-dispersed dust with size from 10 to 100 micrometers settles within 2 to 3 minutes, with size 0.1 micrometer (allergic proteins of dust mites, viruses, carcinogenic dust) – within 12 to 24 hours. As a result, a cleaner comes and leaves and dust remains.
